Route 201 is a route in Sinnoh. This route is the first route in the 200s, and by extension, the first route that can be traveled on in Diamond and Pearl.
Route description
Route 201 primarily connects Lake Verity and Sandgem Town, but the route is also accessible from Twinleaf Town in the south. The westernmost portion of this route is considered Verity Lakefront. This stretches from the gap of trees just west of Twinleaf Town all the way to Lake Verity. It is a small path through a lush, green, wooded area. The trees give off thick aromas.

In the anime, Route 201 was featured prominently in Following a Maiden's Voyage!. It was, in fact, the first route to have any signage shown in the anime and continues to be.
Trivia
- Gary Oak owns an Arcanine, a Nidoking, a Nidoqueen, and a Dodrio- the final evolutions of every Pokémon obtainable on Route 201, with the exception of Starly and Bidoof.
