Max

Max (Japanese: マサト Masato) is a character of the day who appeared in Maxxed Out!. He is a doppelgänger of Max and as such shares the same name, both in English and Japanese, and character design.

He confronted the group at a lakeside Pokémon Center, demanding they keep it down after May's Skitty was proving too energetic. The blue-haired Max replied back, and an argument quickly broke out. Tensions between the pair quickly escalated after they realized they were both named Max. Nurse Joy broke it up, so Max went down to the lake to clear his head.

Later, May and Max followed after a wild Surskit directly to the brown-haired Max's location. Another fight started, though Brock and the others called out their Pokémon as a distraction tactic. The two Max began to bond over their common love for Pokémon. Blue-haired Max then said he got to see them every day, and that his father is a Gym Leader, making the other Max impressed.

May showed off Skitty to Treecko and Pikachu. Soon thereafter, Team Rocket jumped from the bushes and surprised everyone. After their mecha exploded, sending Team Rocket blasting off, the two Max became friends. The brown-haired one intended to train his new friend Surskit hard, and one day become a Pokémon Trainer.

Max's befriended Surskit was first seen skating around a lake. As it was skating, it saw the two Max fighting and attempted to intervene.

When Team Rocket saw Surskit, they figured that it would be a good present for their Boss and decided to capture it. As they were about to capture it, Skitty ruined Jessie's hair, thus, allowing it to escape. Jessie's rage fueled Team Rocket next attempt, and Surskit was up against Seviper and James's Cacnea. It destroyed a nearby rock wall with a Water Pulse, flooding the area and damaging Team Rocket's plot. Jessie resorted to trying to wrestle Surskit out of Max's hands, but May's Skitty Double Slapped her in the face before Ash's Pikachu sent Team Rocket blasting off.

Afterwards, Max declared that he intended to train Surskit hard, and one day become a formidable team.

Surskit's known moves are Agility, Water Pulse, and Bubble Beam.
