Professor Proctor

Professor Proctor (Japanese: モロボシ博士 Dr. Moroboshi) is a character of the day who appeared in Where's Armaldo?.

Professor Proctor lives on Wales Island with his wife Annie. Together, they research all of the Fossil Pokémon in the Hoenn region. Proctor hoped to one day open their research area on Wales Ialand to the public so everyone could see the Pokémon he had.

However, one of the Anorith he was looking after evolved into Armaldo and subsequently went on a rampage, destroying everything in its way. It didn't calm down until after Proctor saved it from Team Rocket.

After the ordeal, Proctor decided that Wales Island and the Fossil Pokémon would be better off being a secret. He and Annie then bade farewell to Ash and his friends and continued to research the Pokémon on Wales Island.

Armaldo evolved from the Anorith that was extracted from the Claw Fossil. As soon as that happened, Team Rocket came by and grabbed Armaldo with a net. However, they were unsuccessful in doing so, with Armaldo freeing itself with Metal Claw and blasting Team Rocket off using Water Gun. After this, Armaldo went on a rampage, destroying parts of the lab in the process, and fled outside. Professor Proctor, Ash, and his friends tried everything in order to win Armaldo's trust, including having to use May's Beautifly and Brock's Forretress to talk to Armaldo as they were both Bug types. None of their efforts worked.

Ash then tried to battle it with his Corphish. During the battle, the professor noted that Armaldo dislikes the nearby fruit on the island and the only fruit it likes are the ones that it ate in ancient times. Armaldo was able to find the fruit, which was located at the very tip of Wales Island when it was a peninsula. Armaldo then got caught again by Team Rocket and became trapped in their mecha. Professor Proctor went to the mecha and told Armaldo to attack the area that it was pounding on. Armaldo attacked the area with Metal Claw and freed itself. After Team Rocket was blasted off once more, Armaldo now trusted Professor Proctor and became friendlier to him.

Armaldo's known moves are Metal Claw, Water Gun, Dig, and Rock Blast.
