It's not like Nintendo could've been worried about foul language, because as the article already states, Chatter distorts anything you record with it. :: i highly doubt the game checks if the audio matches every existing cry in the game. besides, due to the hardware limitations, it'd be impossible to perfectly record a cry using the DS's mic. since the only way to make them exactly match would be to hack your save to change the audio file, it's very unlikely there's anything programmed in for that. lilycove 03:16, 5 May 2024 (UTC) |

Audio limitations

Pokemon Battle Revolution

Confusion Chance in XY

Multiple Chatot in Gen 5
So, I thought about adding this info to the field move section, since it's relevant: "All Chatot owned by the player will share the same custom cry. If all Chatot are deposited in the PC, the recorded audio is reset to Chatot's default cry." Thing is, I only know that this is the case in gen 4, as I cannot test in gen 5, and I can't find any info about it online. Record other Pokémon's cries?

- If you don't already, register the Pokémon who's cry will be recorded for the audio into your Pokédex.
- Select that Pokémon's entry and go to the "Cry" menu.
- Place both DS s next to each other.
- Select Chatter as a field move.
- Play the cry of the selected Pokémon on the 2nd DS.
- Finish Recording and see how the game reacts.
