A Newscaster (Japanese: キャスター Caster), referred to as News Caster (Japanese: ニュースキャスター Newscaster) in Pokémon Colosseum, is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation III games, appearing in Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD. Like many of Orre's Trainer classes, they do not specialize in any particular strategy or Pokémon type.

They are similar to Reporters.

In Colosseum, News Casters could only be battled in Battle Mode. The only one with a name was Ancha, who, while not able to be battled, appeared at the very end of the game at the battle with Fein. In Pokémon XD, Ancha now works for ONBS, and Newscasters can be found at Mt. Battle.
