The Moon Shard (Japanese: つきのかけら Moon Fragment) is a Key Item exclusive to Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. It allows Eevee to evolve into Umbreon, and is the counterpart of Sun Shard.

If an Eevee levels up with high enough friendship while the Moon Shard is in the player's Bag, it will evolve into Umbreon. This consumes the Moon Shard.

Trivia

• The Moon Shard is the only possible way to evolve an Eevee into an Umbreon in Orre, due to the lack of time-based events in the games taking place in said region.
