Trevor is kind and courteous towards the majority of people he meets, contrary to X's standoffish nature towards strangers. Trevor believes X's years of seclusion heightened his senses and made him more prepared to fight evil and save his friends from danger.

Trevor debuts in the X & Y. He is first seen as a small child watching X win a Junior Tournament with his friends. When Trevor and the others go to congratulate X for his victory, the group is surrounded by various reporters. The reporters push Trevor and his friends away as they try to interview X about his possible future careers. Several years later, X has become a shut-in and refuses to leave his due to several bad experiences from the media. X's friends made several attempts to get him to come out, only to end in failure every time. After some time, they all decided to give up with the exception of Y, who continues to try and get X to come out, despite him constantly frustrating her when he refuses.
Trevor debuted in An X-cuse to Come Out and Play. He was first seen watching one of Y's failed attempts to get X to leave his house and come outside. Later, Trevor went home to pick up a package containing three first partner Pokémon and three Pokédexes from Professor Sycamore. He hoped that by presenting one of the first partner Pokémon to X, he would give up his shut-in ways and go on a journey with one of them. The Legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal then appeared in Vaniville Town and began fighting, causing mass panic and destruction. Using her Rhyhorn racing skills, Y managed to get Trevor, Tierno, and Shauna to safety, but an explosion sent the case containing Malva's Poké Ball and Pokédex flying. Once X was retrieved, Y decided that with their home destroyed, the best option was to leave town. Trevor and his friends then set off on a journey, together for the first time in years.

After Y fails to get X out to come outside once again, Trevor gets a call on his Holo Caster from Professor Sycamore informing him that the package he requested has arrived. Trevor heads to his house and takes the package, which contains the starter Pokémon Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie and three Pokédexes. Trevor reveals that he asked to receive the Pokémon in hopes that presenting them to X will make him give up his shut-in ways and go on a journey with one of the three Pokémon. As he prepares to head back to X's house, Trevor is startled by the appearance of the Legendary Pokémon, Xerneas and Yveltal. Xerneas and Yveltal begin battling each other, which causes widespread destruction to Vaniville Town. While the townspeople attempt to evacuate, Y gets her friends to safety with her Rhyhorn riding skills. As they escape, an explosion causes Trevor to drop the case holding Fennekin's Poké Ball and Pokédex. Once the Legendary Pokemon stop fighting and disappear, Trevor and his friends regroup to discuss what to do. Trevor states that since his Holo Caster was damaged in the chaos, he wants to get in touch with Professor Sycamore and inform him of what happened to Fennekin and the third Pokédex. The group then sets off on their adventure a group of five for the first time in years.
In Inn-teresting Developments, the group arrived in Aquacorde Town. Trevor, Y, Tierno, and Shauna stayed at an inn for the night while X slept in the tent on Y's Rhyhorn's back. The inn was a trap designed to keep Trevor and the others locked inside while the Team Flare scientists Aliana and Mable attempted to take X's baby Kangaskhan, Li'l Kanga, while he wasn't looking. Y broke free and informed X of the situation, but when he tried to make Li'l Kanga Mega Evolve, it failed. Having no other options, X and Y used the Chespin and Froakie Trevor got from Sycamore to defeat the scientists. The group fled to a nearby forest where they camped out for the night. Wanting to learn more about Mega Evolution, Trevor inspected Kanga's pouch and found that she was carrying a Kangaskhanite

After some traveling, the group arrives in Aquacorde Town, where Y has prepared a reservation at an inn for them to stay in for the night. X refuses to come out of his tent and chooses to sleep on Y's Rhyhorn outside. Unbeknownst to them, the inn was actually a trap set up by Team Flare. Trevor, Shauna, and Tierno find themselves locked inside their room while the Team Flare scientists, Aliana and Mable, attempt to steal Li'l Kanga while X isn't looking. Y manages to escape and informs X of the situation, which prompts X into battling. As Trevor watches from the window, he overhears Aliana and Mable talk about Mega Evolution. Once X and Y defeat the Team Flare scientists, they free Trevor, Tierno, and Shauna from their room and escape. They decide to spend the rest of the night camping in the woods. Trevor then becomes curious about Mega Evolution and decides to try and learn more about it.
In Kangaskhan...Kangascan't, the group stocked up on supplies in Santalune City. There, they met Viola, who allowed everyone to investigate photos she took of the Vaniville incident at the Santalune Gym. Despite Y telling everyone to be wary of adults they didn't know, she and the others cautiously accepted Viola's offer. Frustrated and confused by this behavior, Shauna refused to go and ran off. Later that night, another Team Flare scientist named Celosia appeared. Using a Honedge, Celosia took control of Shauna's mind and used her to steal Kanga's Kangaskhanite. X teamed up with Korrina, another Gym Leader and fellow user of Mega Evolution, to defeat Celosia and retrieve the Mega Stone. After learning that X obtained his Mega Ring without the proper succession ceremony, Korrina refused to acknowledge X as a true Mega Evolution Successor and angrily left without telling him more about it.

In Santalune City, the group meets up with Viola, a reporter who they met in Vaniville Town before it was attacked. Although initially reluctant due to their distrust in adults, Viola eases their fears by revealing that she is the Santalune City Gym Leader and offers to help the group by offering sanctuary at her Gym. Viola states that she managed to take photographs of the event and suggests they study the photos to try and figure out what happened. While they are busy, Celosia of Team Flare uses a mind-controlled Shauna to try and steal Kanga's Mega Stone when no one is looking. Y and Viola find out about this, but Shauna attacks and knocks Viola out before falling unconscious herself from the strain of being controlled. Celosia takes the Mega Stone and attempts to escape, but X chases after her. He is assisted by Korrina, the Gym Leader of Shalour City. Korrina reveals herself to be a user of Mega Evolution as a well and battles Celosia with her Mega Korrina. Korrina manages to get the Kangaskhanite back, allowing X to Mega Evolve Li'l Kanga into Mega Kangaskhan. Together, Li'l Kanga and Lucario defeat Celosia's Aegislash, forcing Celosia to escape once she realizes that two Mega-Evolved Pokémon are too much for her to beat. Later, when the group celebrates their victory, Korrina is shocked to find that her grandfather Gurkinn gave X his Mega Ring without a proper Successor Ceremony like several others have. When X expresses a lack of interest in doing the ceremony, Korrina gets angry and leaves in a huff without telling them more about Mega Evolution.
In What Does Charmander Do When It Dozes, the group arrived at Professor Sycamore's laboratory in Lumiose City. X stayed behind while Trevor and the others went to Lysandre Café to have Trevor's broken Holo Caster repaired. The group was introduced to Lysandre, an inventor and owner of the café. Upon seeing Lysandre's silhouette in a photo of the Vaniville incident, Trevor became suspicious of the man. Noticing Trevor's strange behavior, Lysandre asked to see the photo, even sending out his Pokémon to surround the group when Trevor refused. Trevor and the others were rescued by Diantha, who used her Mega Diantha to convince Lysandre to back off. After Diantha said farewell, Trevor passed out from stress and had to be carried while the others met up with X and Sycamore.

Despite this, Trevor continues to wish to learn more about Mega Evolution. At 4, Trevor suggests X Mega Evolve Chespin, only find that Chespin cannot Mega Evolve and would be unable to since X refuses to let it join his team. They later come upon a Charmander sleeping on some flowerbeds. The Charmander accidentally lets its tail come in contact with the flowers, causing the flowerbeds to be set on fire. After Froakie puts the flames out with its Frubbles, everyone realizes that the Charmander must belong to Professor Sycamore due to its familiarity with Chespin and Froakie. They travel to Lumiose City, where they meet Professor Sycamore in person. The professor thanks the group for returning his runaway Charmander and has Trevor, Y, Shauna, and Tierno sent to Lysandre Café so that Trevor can get his Holo Caster fixed.
In Fast-Thinking Froakie, Y's clothes were taken by an Electrike that had been following the group. Electrike was defeated by Y's Froakie, Croaky, but it only wanted Y to retrieve a Manectite that was stuck on a tree. Y initially refused but was convinced to help when Electrike evolved into a Manectric while sitting on her head. The group was approached by Clemont, the Lumiose City Gym Leader, who offered to help find the stone with one of his inventions. Before Clemont could grab the stone, a Team Flare Grunt stole it and ran away. Trevor, X, and Manectric chased the Grunt to Parfum Palace, only for the Kangaskhanite to be taken as well. With Trevor's assistance, both Mega Stones were retrieved, allowing X to Mega Evolve his newly-caught Élec into Mega Manectric and send the Grunt running off. The Grunt dropped a clipboard containing a list of Mega Stones and the corresponding Pokémon that can Mega Evolve with them. Trevor and X returned to the others and met Cassius, who helped Y and the others battle the Grunt's other Pokémon.

There, they meet Lysandre, the owner of the café and Professor Sycamore's friend, who proceeds to fix Trevor's Holo Caster. In the meantime, Trevor and the others continue investigating Viola's photos. Trevor becomes suspicious when he finds Lysandre's silhouette in one the photos. Lysandre's notices Trevor's strange behavior and asks to see the photo, but resorts to threatening with his Pokémon when Trevor refuses. Trevor and the others are saved when Diantha, the Kalos League Champion and actress, steps in to tell Lysandre to stop. Lysandre is unfazed by Diantha's presence, but agrees to back off and heads off to do business elsewhere. The stress of the situation causes Trevor to pass out. After being put into Y's Rhyhorn's tent, Trevor later awakens in front of the Prism Tower with his friends.
In Dancing Vivillon, Cassius used a helicopter to transport Trevor and the others to Cyllage City, where Clemont had seen Y's mother Grace being taken away by Team Flare members. The vehicle was attacked by a group of students from Y's Sky Trainer school. Together, Y and X defeated the Sky Trainers as well as Celosia's Aegislash, who was manipulating them in secret. The damage that the helicopter took caused a propeller blade to snap off and hit Y, sending her crashing down to 9. Cassius made an emergency landing in Cyllage, but the damage done to the cycling area angered the Cyllage City Gym Leader, Grant. While Cassius dealt with Grant, Trevor and the others left him behind to search for Y. Shauna and Tierno suggested that after Y was found, they should find Team Flare's base and confront the villains there.

The group travels to 5, where Y continues her Sky Trainer training after deciding to take Froakie onto her team. When a wild Electrike steals Y's clothes, Trevor and the others pursue it. Once the Electrike had been defeated, they find out that it only wanted Y to get something out of a tree for it. Y refuses, but the Electrike adamantly stops her by jumping on her head and accidentally evolves into a Manectric, nearly breaking Y's neck in the process. The group is approached by Clemont, an inventor and Lumiose City Gym Leader. Clemont offers to use his Aipom Arm to get the item for Manectric, which turns out to be a Mega Stone, but also finds a Team Flare Grunt in the tree, who was also aiming to obtain the stone.
In Gathering Klefki, Trevor and the others found Y on 8. Y informed everyone that Team Flare planned to use mind-controlled Vanville Town residents as forced labor to move the dormant tree form of Xerneas back to their hideout and have it power a device known as the ultimate weapon. The group decided to let Team Flare take the tree so they could follow the villains back to their hideout. Later, Celosia arrived to oversee the operation to move Xerneas. Noticing her mother among the laborers, Y leaped in to save her, only for her Sky Suit to fail due to the damages it sustained earlier. X attempted to have Li'l Kanga and Élec Mega Evolve at the same time, but it failed, giving Essentia the chance to capture everyone with her Trevenant. Celosia tried to kill X, but was stopped by the timely arrival of Korrina, Diantha, and Gurkinn.

Although Clemont gets the Mega Stone, he is unable to stop the Grunt's Tyrunt from biting the tree and causing it to fall on the group. Trevor and the others escape from being harmed, but Clemont gets crushed by the tree, allowing the Grunt to take the stone and run off. To prevent the group from pursuing him, the Grunt sends out four Espurr that stop everyone other than X, Trevor, and the Manectric from following. The Grunt leads them to Parfum Palace, where he steals Kanga's Kangaskhanite after tricking them through the maze. X teams up with Manectric to battle the Grunt and decides to keep it and names it Élec. With Trevor's help, X and Élec retrieve both Mega Stones. X uses the Manectite to Mega Evolve Élec into a Mega Manectric and together, they defeat the Grunt and send him running off. The Grunt drops a clipboard containing the names of several Mega Stones and the corresponding Pokémon that can Mega Evolve with them. After the returning, Trevor and X meet Cassius, who helped Y, Shauna, and Tierno battle the Grunt's other Pokémon.
In Changing Gengar, Korrina and Diantha faced Team Flare while Gurkinn freed Trevor and the others. With his newly-obtained Gengar he received from Gurkinn, X defeated Essentia, forcing her to run away. Trevor, X, and Tierno went ahead to help Korrina while Y and Shauna helped Diantha. Trevor's group found Korrina, only to discover that Celosia managed to defeat her. Korrina succeeded in freeing the townspeople from Celosia's control, but couldn't prevent Xerneas from being taken and had her Key Stone stolen as well.

Cassius offers to take the group to Cyllage City, where Clemont said he saw Y's mother being taken away by Team Flare Grunts along with Grant. The group travels to Cyllage City via Cassius's van, and later in a helicopter Cassius obtained from the Battle Chateau. As they approach the city, a group of several Sky Trainers attack and begin damaging the helicopter. Y battles the leader of the Sky Trainers, Yvette, who is a classmate from her Sky Trainer school. X and the others realize that the Sky Trainers are being controlled by Team Flare. Although Y and X free the Sky Trainers from Team Flare's control, the helicopter blade snaps off and hits Y on her helmet, knocking her to the ground below. When X attempts to jump out and save Y, Trevor and Tierno stop him. The damage to the helicopter forces Cassius to make an emergency landing in Cyllage.
In Quilladin Stands, the rescued townspeople and Korrina were taken to a hospital in Laverre City. Blaming himself for what happened to Korrina, X shut himself in the base of a large tree. Trevor and a Klefki Grace befriended tried comforting X, but he ignored their attempt. Later, Trevor informed Y and the others that X disappeared and presented them with a pair of glasses he left behind. When the glasses broadcasted an image of Geosenge Town, everyone realized the glasses belonged to Clemont and concluded that X learned the location of the Team Flare Secret HQ and went there by himself. Trevor, Y, Tierno, Shauna, and the Kalos Gym Leaders followed X to Geosenge Town, but as soon as they arrived, everyone witnessed the ultimate weapon emerging from underground like a flower bud. To prevent the weapon from blooming, Y and the Gym Leaders tried keeping the petals in place by force.

In Flabébé Blooms, Trevor, Tierno, and Shauna avoided Bryony's attacks and made it inside the Secret HQ. There, they reunited with Clemont and freed AZ, a giant man that was held prisoner. Trevor and the others found X, who managed to revive Xerneas but lost to Lysandre, the leader of Team Flare. Trevor, Tierno, and Shauna tried removing the ultimate weapon's key but were unable to pull it out in time before it fired. To Lysandre's frustration, the combined efforts of X, his friends, and the Gym Leaders successfully weakened the ultimate weapon, preventing it from taking any innocent lives. AZ stayed behind to allow Xerneas to take Trevor and the others back to the surface. Once everyone reunited with Y, Xerneas joined her team and was nicknamed Xerxer. Y told Xerxer to destroy the ultimate weapon, but they were interrupted by Malva, who managed to capture Yveltal. Due to Xerneas and Yveltal being evenly matched, Xerosic announced that Lysandre ordered a ceasefire. Xerxer confirmed this and retreated, taking Trevor and the others with it.
X figures that Y landed on 9, and decides to go with his friends to find her. As Cassius argues with Grant over the damage to Cycling Road caused by the destruction of the helicopter, Trevor and his friends leave Cassius behind. They decide that as soon as they find Y, they should confront Team Flare at their base of operations. The group travels to where Y crash landed but are unable to find her. X notices a trail of Frubbles left behind by Croaky leading into a forest. They follow the trail into the forest, where they find Y and regroup with her. Y informs everyone that she overheard Celosia and Malva discuss a plan to use people from Vaniville Town they kidnapped as forced labor to take a giant tree that is actually the dormant form of Xerneas back to Team Flare's headquarters. She reveals that Team Flare is aiming to use Xerneas to power a machine known as the ultimate weapon. The group decides to wait for Team Flare to return so that they may launch a sneak attack and rescue the townspeople.

Later, Celosia returns with a group of Vaniville townspeople under the control of her Aegislash. When Y notices her mother in the crowd of captured townspeople, she leaps in to attack, but the damage her Sky Suit took when she fell earlier causes her to plummet to the ground. Alerted to her presence, Celosia attempts to attack Y, but is stopped by X. X attempts to Mega Evolve Li'l Kanga and Élec simultaneously, but it ends in failure. Essentia then arrives and uses her Trevenant to manipulate the forest's plants to capture X and his friends. Celosia attempts to kill X, but is stopped by the timely arrival of Korrina, Diantha, and Gurkinn. Korrina and Diantha battle Team Flare while Gurkinn stays behind to free Trevor and his friends from their bindings. Due to his injuries, Gurkinn is unable to battle, but gives X his disobedient Gengar. X names the Gengar Lasma and Mega Evolves it, allowing it to defeat Essentia and force her to flee. Trevor, X, and Tierno go to help Korrina while Y and Shauna stay behind to free Diantha from the Magic Room Malva trapped her in. When Trevor's group arrives at Korrina's location, they find that she managed to free the townspeople from Celosia's control, but was unable to stop Xerneas from being taken, was defeated, and had her Key Stone taken.
In Pinsir Glares, the group rested at the Lost Hotel. Ramos revealed that Team Flare blamed the destruction caused by the ultimate weapon on the Vaniville children and the Gym Leaders. He advised Trevor and the others to keep hiding from the public while the Gym Leaders helped rebuild the damaged areas. Y received a Key Stone and Mega Ring from Gurkinn, officially making her a Mega Evolution Successor. Later, on 15, X and Y looked for Pokémon capable of Mega Evolution to catch. During X's search for a Pinsir, the group met Blue, another Trainer from the Kanto region. Trevor received a call from Sycamore, who asked everyone to meet him in Anistar City so he could aid them on their journey.

The unconscious townspeople and Korrina are taken to a hospital in Laverre City. While they recuperate, Trevor meets with Cassius, who was put in charge of moving the injured to the hospital. When Cassius asks where the others are, Trevor reveals that Y, Shauna, and Tierno are currently training with Gurkinn. As for X, the shock of what happened to Korrina leads X into shutting himself inside the base of a large tree. Trevor attempts to get X to come out again, but his attempts are refused. Later, Trevor goes to see X again, only to find that he has gone missing. He finds a pair of glasses that show an image of Geosenge Town in their lenses and shows them to Y and the others. They realize the glasses belong to Clemont, which means that Team Flare's base must be located there and X has gone there.

In Hawlucha Attacks, Trevor and the others arrived in Anistar, where they found Sycamore under attack by a group of Hawlucha. Once taken to safety, Sycamore revealed that the ultimate weapon's blast affected the Key Stones, giving them the ability to track Mega Stones, but only from 8 PM to 9 PM. Realizing the Hawlucha were under a Trainer's command, X and Y stayed behind while Tierno and Shauna borrowed their Mega Rings and went to search for stones for X's Rute and Y's Absol. Y went ahead and found the Hawlucha's Trainer was Essentia, who used her Expansion Suit's Poké Ball Jack function to take control of Xerxer. Once Tierno and Shauna returned, they returned the Mega Rings and gave X and Y the Pinsirite and Absolite needed to Mega Evolve Rute and Solsol into Mega Pinsir and Mega Absol. Essentia retaliated by sending out Xerxer.

Trevor meets up with the Gym Leaders again, who plan to head to Geosenge Town via Wulfric's Avalugg. The group then sets off by sea while Y follows behind by air. When they arrive, the ultimate weapon is already in the process of being activated. Y and the Gym Leaders leap onto the weapon's petals to prevent them from opening. Trevor, Tierno, and Shauna are sent to the Team Flare Secret HQ to find the ultimate weapon's control room. They manage to escape the wrath of Bryony and head down an trash incineration chute, where they meet up with Clemont again. Trevor and the others head inside the headquarters, where they find a jail cell holding a giant man imprisoned. Emma introduces the man as AZ and assures everyone that he is friendly. AZ is freed from his cell and joins the group to help stop the ultimate weapon.
In Zygarde Appears, X and Y combined their attacks to damage Essentia's suit and free Xerxer from her control. The battle was interrupted by the arrival of Zygarde, who had come to suppress Xerxer's power. Essentia chose to shift her priorities by capturing Zygarde and having her Trevenant bind it. Zygarde tried powering itself up by absorbing the power of nature, but this left it completely defenseless, allowing Essentia to easily catch it and escape. Afterward, Sycamore received a call from Sina and Dexio, who found out that Team Flare went into hiding in the Pokémon Village.

They arrive at the control room, but find that X was defeated by Lysandre and that the battle caused Xerneas to turn back to its normal form. Immediately after he sees Lysandre's face, Trevor goes into a rage and fear-filled frenzy and asks Clemont to throw him to the platform where Lysandre is currently standing. After landing, Trevor yells at Lysandre to remove the key, only for Lysandre to suggest that Trevor do it himself. In response, Trevor has his Flabébé blast Lysandre off of the platform and immediately begins attempting to remove the key. Tierno and Shauna go up to assist Trevor, but the weapon is fired despite their success in removing the key. Despite this, the combined efforts of Trevor, his friends, and the Gym Leaders weakened the ultimate weapon to the point where no innocent lives are taken.
In Malamar Traps, Trevor, his friends, Blue, and Diantha set off to confront Team Flare at the Pokémon Village. Along the way, the group was attacked by Xerosic, who had his Malamar put everyone to sleep with Hypnosis. By evolving into a Greninja, Croaky worked with X to battle Xerosic. Croaky was eventually defeated but successfully woke the others up. X and Blue stayed behind to keep Xerosic busy while Trevor and the others went ahead. The remaining Team Flare scientists intercepted Trevor's group to separate them for one-on-one battles. Trevor's opponent was Bryony, who revealed that Team Flare intends on re-activating the ultimate weapon once more. After he was saved by X, Trevor realized that Team Flare was collecting Pokémon from the village so their life energy could be used to refuel the ultimate weapon. Trevor and Y chose to stay behind and assist Tierno and Shauna while X and Blue went to the village.

The struggle causes Trevor, Tierno, and Shauna to pass out. AZ puts Trevor and the others on Xerneas's back and has it take them back to the surface while he stays behind to confront a furious Lysandre himself. Once they meet with Y again, X reveals that Xerneas wishes to be captured by a human, meaning that it is on their side. Y decides to take Xerneas for herself and names it Xerxer. Y has Xerxer begin to destroy the ultimate weapon, but is interrupted by the arrival of Malva, who reveals that she managed to capture Yveltal, which was sleeping in the ground underneath Xerxer's tree. Malva proceeds to attack the heroes, but is stopped by Xerosic, who states that Lysandre ordered a ceasefire since Xerneas and Yveltal's evenly matched power will only lead to an endless war. Xerxer confirms this and decides to retreat by flying away with everyone.
In Mewtwo Angered, Trevor and Y headed back, only to fall into a trap created by Aliana's Diggersby. To Trevor's confusion, his Flabébé managed to defeat Diggersby and evolved into a Floette. Y praised Trevor, stating that he grew stronger throughout their journey. Encouraged by Y's kind words, Trevor gained the confidence to stay and fight by himself. Y went ahead to help X and Blue but left Croaky behind to give Trevor some backup. With Croaky's help, Trevor managed to defeat Bryony and met up with Tierno and Shauna, who helped take down Aliana as well. Trevor and the others went to meet with the others at the village, only to find Xerxer in battle with Yveltal. Xerxer informed everyone that it and Yveltal were returning to their dormant tree and cocoon forms, ensuring that Zygarde would have no reason to remain in Kalos. This allowed X to launch one final attack and completely separate Zygarde into its Cells, leading to Lysandre's defeat. With Team Flare's schemes foiled, Trevor and his friends said farewell to their allies and returned to Lumiose City, where the townsfolk went about their daily lives as if nothing had happened.

The group heads to the Lost Hotel, where they rest and eat a meal cooked by Siebold. Despite Y obtaining Xerxer, Ramos reveals that Team Flare blamed X's group and the Gym Leaders for the destruction caused by the ultimate weapon, meaning they have to hide from the public at the moment. After getting a shorter haircut from Shauna, Y is given a Mega Ring from Gurkinn, thus becoming a Mega Evolution successor. When Y takes X to help her search for Pokémon capable of Mega Evolution to add to her team, Trevor secretly follows them. Trevor watches as Y chastises X for ignoring her rules and going off to stop Team Flare alone, but decides not to stay angry at him. X eventually notices Trevor's presence and asks for the clipboard containing the list of Mega Evolving Pokémon so that he can decide what to capture.
In Floette Returns, AZ approached the Vaniville children and revealed he created the ultimate weapon. Noting how the people shunned Trevor and his friends despite their hard work, AZ suggested Team Flare's ambitions weren't wrong and went to go activate the ultimate weapon again. Everyone tried stopping AZ, but he retaliated with his Golurk. When one of Golurk's attacks was about to hit Y, AZ stepped in and took the attack himself. AZ survived, but the ultimate weapon's key was destroyed. The battle was merely an act to prevent Trevor and the others from heading down the path Lysandre took. With his mind at ease, AZ thanked the Vaniville children, only to be shocked at the return of the Floette that left him 3,000 years ago. After saying goodbye to AZ, the group was greeted by Sycamore, the Gym Leaders, Alexa, Bonnie, and Yvette. Clemont handed Trevor a Poké Ball containing Malva's Delphox, revealing it was the Fennekin that Trevor lost back during the Vaniville incident. Sycamore proposed a party and parade as a celebration for the Vaniville Children's efforts, but they refused. Trevor and his friends returned home, where Y reunited with her mother.

After deciding what to capture, Trevor watches alongside his friends as Y successfully captures an Absol for her team. At 15, Trevor and the others assist X in searching for a wild Pinsir to add to his team. During their search, X and his friends come upon the motionless body of a wild Scyther that is guarded by a wild Pinsir. They are approached by Blue, a Pokédex holder from the Kanto region, who explains that the Scyther had its life energy drained by some force, but will eventually return to normal if its willpower is strong enough. After X manages to get the Pinsir to join his team, the group is called by Professor Sycamore, who requests that they travel to Anistar City so that he may aid them in their quest.
Three months later, Trevor had moved from Vaniville Town to Jaune Plaza in Lumiose City. He had become Sycamore's assistant, helping in place of Sina and Dexio while they were busy in the Alola region. He was then called to attend X's Mega Evolution Successor ceremony in Shalour City by Korrina.

After going their separate ways from Blue, Trevor and his friends travel to Anistar City while Blue's Pokémon guard them along the way. Upon arriving, the group find Sycamore under attack by a group of Hawlucha. X and Y help save the professor and battle against the Hawlucha. Sycamore reveals that he discovered that the effect of the ultimate weapon allowed X and Y's Mega Rings to track Mega Stones, but only from 8 PM to 9 PM. Realizing that the Hawlucha belonged to a Trainer, X decides to stay behind and protect the professor while Y and the others go to find the Mega Stones for Solsol and Rute, only for Shauna and Tierno to offer to do it instead.

After Tierno and Shauna head off to find Mega Stones, Y discovers that the culprit behind the attack on Sycamore was Essentia and battles against her. During the battle, Essentia manages to knock Y out and takes control of Xerxer with her Expansion Suit's Poké Ball Jack function. Using the Expansion Suit's texturing function, Essentia attempts to meet with X while disguised as Y. X quickly sees through this ruse and has Rute damage Essentia's helmet with its horns, breaking the camouflage. Immediately afterward, Y arrives, having been found by Trevor, Tierno, and Shauna. Tierno and Shauna return X and Y their Mega Rings and give them the Mega Stones they managed to find. With the stones, X Mega Evolves Rute into Mega Pinsir while Y Mega Evolves Solsol into Mega Absol. To counter this, Essentia sends out Xerxer to use against them in battle.

As they battle, X and Y notice that Essentia doesn't have full control over Xerxer. They take advantage of this weakness to damage Essentia's suit and loosen her control over Xerxer even further. The battle is interrupted by the arrival of Zygarde, which begins attacking everyone. Essentia decides to shift her attention to Zygarde and attempts to capture it while it charges itself with the power of nature, leaving it completely defenseless while it does so. Although this causes her to lose control of Xerxer, Essentia manages to successfully capture Zygarde before making her escape. Shortly afterward, Professor Sycamore receives a call from Sina and Dexio, who inform him that they managed to capture a Team Flare Grunt at Lysandre Café. After interrogating the Grunt, Sina and Dexio reveal that Team Flare has gone into hiding at the Pokémon Village.

At 18, Trevor and his friends rest for the night to prepare for their trip to the Pokémon Village. The next day, Trevor and his friends receive assistance from the Elite Four to lead the way to where the village is located. Along with Diantha and Blue, Trevor and his friends head off to the Pokémon Village, but are put to sleep by Xerosic's Malamar on their way. By evolving into a Greninja, Croaky teams up with X to stop Xerosic, but they are unable to fully stop him. After Salamè evolves into a Charizard, X and Blue stay behind to face Xerosic while Trevor and the others go on ahead.

On their way to the village, Trevor, Y, Shauna, and Tierno are picked off by the remaining Team Flare scientists so they can battle them one-on-one. Trevor is forced to fight Bryony, but is unable to defeat her. After defeating Xerosic, X arrives and assists Trevor by defeating Bryony's Bisharp with a Mega-Evolved Salamè. Trevor and Y decide to stay behind to help Tierno and Shauna while X and Blue head to the village. As they head back, Trevor and Y are ambushed by Aliana and Bryony. Trevor exploits Aliana's Diggersby's Rototiller to power up his Flabébé's moves, allowing it to defeat Aliana's Diggersby and evolve into a Floette. Although this shocks Trevor, Y notes that the various battles over the course of their adventure have made him stronger. Y's encouraging words make Trevor more confident, which leads to him deciding to stay behind and fight while Y goes ahead to the village.

After Y leaves, Trevor faces Bryony in battle again, but is still unable to defeat her, forcing Trevor to take refuge in the forest. Just as Bryony has her Bisharp slash through the trees, a Mat Block appears to defend Trevor. The user of the attack reveals itself to be Croaky, which Y left behind to help. Together with Croaky, Trevor manages to defeat Bryony and her Bisharp. With his opponent defeated, Trevor goes on ahead to meet with his friends, but is cornered by Aliana. Aliana threatens to kill Trevor to prevent Croaky from rescuing him, but is surprised when Tierno and Shauna arrive after having defeated their opponents. Realizing that she is outnumbered, Aliana gives up. With all of the scientists defeated, Trevor, Tierno, and Shauna go to meet with the others, only to find Xerxer and Yveltal in the process of turning back into their dormant tree and cocoon forms. Xerxer reveals that by doing so, Zygarde will have no reason to remain, as it only appeared to suppress the fighting between it and Yveltal. This allows X to force Zygarde to separate and disappear, which leads to Lysandre's defeat.

With Team Flare defeated, Trevor and his friends say their farewells to their allies and return to Lumiose City, only to find the citizens going about their daily lives as if nothing had happened. Although Shauna is annoyed by this, X points out that if Vaniville wasn't destroyed, they would also act as if nothing happened. The group is soon approached by AZ, who asks how they plan to go about their lives from now on. AZ reveals to everyone that he was the one who created the ultimate weapon, and that he retrieved the weapon's key from the Team Flare Secret HQ. Due to how X and his friends were treated despite their hard work, AZ suggests that Team Flare's ambitions weren't wrong and goes to activate the ultimate weapon once again. Trevor and his friends attempt to stop AZ, but he retaliates with his Golurk. After a short battle, X manages to destroy the ultimate weapon's key. AZ reveals the entire thing was an act and that the group has made their choice to protect Kalos no matter the odds. Shortly after, AZ's Floette returns to him after being gone for 3000 years.

After saying their goodbyes to AZ, the group is greeted by Professor Sycamore, the Kalos Gym Leaders, Alexa, Bonnie, and Yvette, who congratulate Trevor and his friends for their victory. Professor Sycamore proposes to have a party and parade as a celebration for their heroics, but Trevor declines, as he and his friends have more important things to do. Afterward, Trevor and his friends return to Vaniville Town, where they witness Y reunite with her mother.

Three months later, Trevor has moved to Jaune Plaza in Lumiose City. He became Professor Sycamore's assistant, replacing Sina and Dexio while they were away in another region.

Character

Trevor's dream to be a scholar

Trevor is a young man studying to be a scholar. He is childhood friends with X, Y, Shauna, and Tierno and has known all of them ever since he was a small child. Trevor serves as the narrator of the X & Y arc, with several events told from a past perspective.

Trevor is kind and courteous towards the majority of people he meets, contrary to X's standoffish nature towards strangers. Trevor believes X's years of seclusion heightened his senses and made him more prepared to fight evil and save his friends from danger.

Using her Rhyhorn racing skills, Y managed to get Trevor, Tierno, and Shauna to safety, but an explosion sent the case containing Fennekin's Poké Ball and Pokédex flying. Once X was retrieved, Y decided that with their home destroyed, the best option was to leave town. Trevor and his friends then set off on a journey, together for the first time in years.

Trevor and the others were rescued by Diantha, who used her Mega Gardevoir to convince Lysandre to back off. After Diantha said farewell, Trevor passed out from stress and had to be carried while the others met up with X and Sycamore.

The damage that the helicopter took caused a propeller blade to snap off and hit Y, sending her crashing down to Route 9.

In Gathering Klefki, Trevor and the others found Y on Route 8.

In Changing Gengar, Korrina and Diantha faced Team Flare while Gurkinn freed Trevor and the others. With his newly-obtained Garma he received from Gurkinn, X defeated Essentia, forcing her to run away.

Later, on Route 15, X and Y looked for Pokémon capable of Mega Evolution to catch. During X's search for a Pinsir, the group met Blue, another Trainer from the Kanto region. Trevor received a call from Sycamore, who asked everyone to meet him in Anistar City so he could aid them on their journey.

Trevor confronting Lysandre

In Hawlucha Attacks, Trevor and the others arrived in Anistar, where they found Sycamore under attack by a group of Hawlucha. Once taken to safety, Sycamore revealed that the ultimate weapon's blast affected the Key Stones, giving them the ability to track Mega Stones, but only from 8 PM to 9 PM. Realizing the Hawlucha were under a Trainer's command, X and Y stayed behind while Tierno and Shauna borrowed their Mega Rings and went to search for stones for X's Rute and Y's Solsol.
