Information
Emerging Powers is the name given to the second main expansion of the Black & White Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It does not have a main expansion as a Japanese equivalent. It is based on Pokémon Black and White, featuring Generation V Pokémon and the Legendary Pokémon Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Tornadus, and Thundurus. It was released on August 31, 2011.
A new type of Reverse Holofoil was introduced, replacing the plain Mirror Holofoil pattern. The new Reverse Holofoil featured the card's Energy symbols (for Pokémon) or Poké Ball (for Trainer cards) on the entire card excluding the artwork.
Beginning with this expansion, all Theme Decks and booster packs came with a QR code card to redeem digital versions of them in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.
