The Premium Trainer Box ex (Japanese: プレミアムトレーナーボックスex) is a Pokémon Trading Card Game product that was released alongside the dual Japanese Scarlet ex and Violet ex expansion on January 20, 2023. It released in Traditional Chinese for the Taiwan and Hong Kong markets on March 3, 2023.
Information
As one of the launch products for the Scarlet & Violet Era, the Premium Trainer Box ex offered an ideal base for players to begin their game with an assortment of popular Pokémon, Trainer, and Energy cards from the Sword & Shield Era, in addition to some updated favorites. Players could also integrate these with cards obtained from the 10 Scarlet ex and 10 Violet ex booster packs enclosed with each box. The fixed card assortment comprised 7 Pokémon, 49 Trainer cards, 4 Special Energy cards, and 136 basic Energy cards. All other than the basic Energy cards featured a product-specific collection number and symbol. Each box was also packaged with a number of accessories, including a set of 34 acrylic damage counters, a pair of premium status markers, a coin, and a damage counter case.
