Differences between the anime and the manga
- As the events of Making Battles in the Sand! were skipped, Goh's Flygon debuts here.
- Team Rocket's appearance is omitted. As such, Ash and Goh face Zapdos in a Tag Battle instead of a Raid Battle.
- Ash's reason for being unable to continue battling was changed to Pikachu being injured by Zapdos's Thunder.
