Kain (Japanese: ケイン Cane) is a recurring character who first appeared in Going for a Spinda!.
History
Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire
He became Claire's fiancé after the pair met in a flower field. Kain is a Pokémon adventurer who travels the world in search of rare Pokémon. As a result, he had to leave, but he left his Spinda in Claire's care as a sign of his devotion to her.
Kain eventually returned and reunited with Claire at the place where they first met after Spinda ran away. He attempted to battle Team Rocket, but Spinda's Hypnosis was reflected back at it and it was subsequently captured. Thanks to Brock's Pokémon, Team Rocket was defeated and Spinda was returned to him and Claire.
