Luna Carson (Japanese: ルナ・カーソン Luna Carson) is a supporting character who appeared in Mewtwo Returns, and the younger sister of Luka Carson.
Luna lives at the Purity Canyon rest stop lodge, where she helps tourists and continues her Pokémon habitat research around Mount Quena. She took Ash, Brock, and Misty on a guided boat tour to showcase her local area's pristine condition and the many Bug-types that call it home.
Later, both she and Cullen Calix helped Ash, his friends, and Mewtwo fight against Team Rocket. She and Cullen quickly struck up a close friendship, both sharing interests in research. Her environmental consciousness and personal connection to the Purity Canyon area rubbed off on Cullen, as he decided to instead make a synthetic medicine based on Clarity Lake's spring water. Even so, she and Cullen had their memories wiped by Mewtwo to avoid potential threats to the lives of it and the clone Pokémon. After the incident, Cullen decided to stay with her.
