Raising the Stakes with Rhyperior (Japanese: VS ドサイドン VS Rhyperior), titled VS Rhyperior in the Chuang Yi translation, is the 449th chapter of the Pokémon Adventures manga, and the eighth chapter of the HeartGold & SoulSilver arc.

It is subtitled Inheritor of the Land! (Japanese: 大地の継承！ Inheritor of the Ground!) in the VIZ Media translation and Inheritor of the Earth in the Chuang Yi translation.

Silver realizes that each of the sixteen Plates represent a Pokémon type, excluding the Normal type. During Crystal's battle against Ariana, Silver gives his Rhyperior the Earth Plate, which makes it deliver an astoundingly powerful Earth Power attack against Ariana. After that, Silver runs off to the Ecruteak Gym, leaving Crystal to finish the battle herself.

Once Silver arrives at the Ecruteak Gym, he is confronted by Bugsy, Falkner, and Chuck. Silver tells them that he is there to see Morty.
