Trivia

  • This episode is the first time a Metapod in the anime has been seen using Tackle — or indeed, any move other than Harden.
  • Ash and Misty both receive Lure Balls and Brock receives a Heavy Ball from Kurt at the end of this episode. Although Ash and Misty will both use their Lure Balls, Brock's Heavy Ball (as well as the Fast Balls Ash and Misty received in the last episode) are never actually used (or even mentioned) by the characters.

Errors

  • At one point Ash says "I'll save Chikorita for later, and use Pikachu now." Chikorita had just been defeated — he meant to say Cyndaquil.

Dub edits

In other languages

  • French: Dans le feu de l'action
  • Italian: Una Palestra immersa nel verde
  • Latin American Spanish: ¡Duelo con los insectos!
  • Spanish: Ahuyentando a los bichos
