Aqua Ring (Japanese: アクアリング Aqua Ring) is a non-damaging Water move introduced in Generation IV.

Effect
Effect
After using the move once, Aqua Ring will continue to restore 1/16th of the user's max HP at the end of every turn. The effect of Aqua Ring can be Baton Passed, and will heal any Pokémon, regardless of its type.
The user surrounds itself with a veil of water, allowing it to restore 1/16 of its maximum HP (rounded down) at the end of every turn. Aqua Ring works regardless of the user's type.

Generation V
If the affected Pokémon is holding a Big Root, the amount of restored HP is increased by 30%. A Pokémon affected by Heal Block can still use Aqua Ring, but the veil of water will not restore the user's HP as long as Heal Block is in effect.
Aqua Ring can now be affected by Snatch.

The effect of Aqua Ring can be Baton Passed.

If powered up by a Waterium Z into Z-Aqua Ring, the user's Defense stat rises by one stage.

In Generation IV only, Aqua Ring cannot be stolen by Snatch. It can be stolen by Snatch from Generation V onwards.

*Even though it is a status move in-game, the anime shows it to be a move that causes damage.
* As shown in Cilan Takes Flight! and An Amazing Aerial Battle!, Aqua Ring appears to have extra effects in the anime, such as being able to heal the user's burns and block Electric attacks.

Aqua Ring (Japanese: アクアリング Aqua Ring) is a non-damaging Water-type move introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

The user surrounds itself with a veil of water, allowing it to restore 1/16 of its maximum HP (rounded down) at the end of every turn. Aqua Ring works regardless of the user's type.

If the affected Pokémon is holding a Big Root, the amount of restored HP is increased by 30%. A Pokémon affected by Heal Block can still use Aqua Ring, but the veil of water will not restore the user's HP as long as Heal Block is in effect.
