Lombre (Japanese: ハスブレロ Hasubrero) is a dual-type Water/Grass Pokémon.
It evolves from Lotad starting at level 14, and evolves into Ludicolo by Water Stone.
Biology
Physiology
Lombre are mostly aqua-colored, with a pattern of green extending from the sides of its head down to its feet like a garment of some sort, excluding its stubby, rounded ear. They have a red, bill-like mouth, along with a bigger lilypad on their heads than its pre-evolution. The lilypad itself has a notch in it, and, due to Lombre's bipedal stance, resembles a sombrero. Lombre's arms are long in comparison to its body, and have four red-colored fingers and one thumb each. Lombre's feet, which are green from the coloration pattern have three red toes. Lombre are very human like, so much so that they are often mistaken for human children.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
As a dual Water- and Template:Type2, it can use moves such as Absorb, BubbleBeam, and Hydro Pump.
Behavior
Lombre is a mischievous Pokémon, tugging on the fishing lines of anglers from beneath the surface and enjoying their consternation, or otherwise popping out of rivers and startling people. Lombre is nocturnal, sleeping at the water’s edge in a bed of water grass and becoming active at night.
Habitat
Lombre lives in rivers and at the edges of bodies of water.

Trivia
- Lombre and its evolution family, along with Kingdra and Palkia, are the only Pokémon to have a 4× resistance to Water.
Origin
Lombre's appearance is similar to the Japanese mythological creature known as the Kappa. Unlike Golduck, this Pokémon is more like the kappa as it has the same dish on its head filled with water that is the source of its power, just as this Pokémon uses Rain Dish to replenish itself. It also has facial features similar to the kappa, such as a turtle-like beak.
Name origin
Lombre's name could be a combination of lotus and hombre, the Spanish word for man. It could also be derived from sombrero, Spanish for hat, similar to its Japanese name.
Hasubrero combines 蓮 hasu, meaning lotus, and sombrero. Its German name, Lombrero, mirrors this meaning perfectly.
