Water Guard (Japanese: みずガード Water Guard) is a skill in Pokémon Masters EX.

Effect

Water Guard reduces the damage taken from Water-type moves, including buddy moves, by 30%. It does not reduce damage from sync moves or max moves.

Most Pokémon that can access the Water Guard skill without the use of Lucky Cookies can have an Ability that grants them immunity to Water-type moves in the core series games:
- Cradily can have Storm Drain.
- Croagunk can have Dry Skin.
- Poliwrath, Jellicent, Volcanion, Clodsire, and Lanturn can have Water Absorb.
- The one exception is Kyogre, however, it is normally resistant to Water-type moves.
