Walkthrough:Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl/Part 28

This is the Bulbapedia walkthrough for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
These pages follow the remade Nintendo Switch iteration, not Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The guide for those games can be found here.

Fight Area

To reach Battle Zone, take the ferry from Snowpoint City.

Fight Area is a tiny port town located in the Battle Zone, a northeastern region of Sinnoh. The town serves as the gateway to Battle Park and is accessible only after defeating Cynthia, but the roads connecting to the rest of the Battle Zone are blocked until you unlock the National Pokédex.

As you come out of the ferry, Barry greets you and you get to meet Buck.

Fight Area contains a Pokémon Center, a Poké Mart, and various locations for rest and preparation. A Poké Mart offers standard healing items, Poké Balls, repellents, and other battle supplies.

Barry, your rival throughout your adventure, gathers at Fight Area on weekends. He will challenge you to a battle after you return the Magma Stone to Stark Mountain.

An old lady in the Poké Mart will gift you a Scope Lens. A Fisher North of the town will give you a Super Rod, allowing you to catch higher-level and new Pokémon in all water areas.

Battle Park

Battle Park is located adjacent to the Fight Area and serves as the venue for high-level competitive battling. The park features the Battle Tower and the Exchange Service Corner where trainers can trade Battle Points for valuable items.

Battle Tower

The Battle Tower is the main attraction of Battle Park and attracts trainers from across Sinnoh. It is run by Tower Tycoon Palmer, Barry's father, who is renowned for his powerful team.

You obtain the Point Card upon entering.

Battle Mechanics

Trainers compete in either Single Battle or Double Battle challenges. Your Pokémon will be temporarily reduced to Level 50 and below if they exceed that level, ensuring fair competition. Pokémon do not gain experience from battles at the Battle Tower. There is no penalty for losing other than breaking your winning streak. You can attempt challenges as many times as you wish.

Battle Point Rewards

Instead of prize money, you earn Battle Points for each victory. These points accumulate and can be traded at the Exchange Service Corner for valuable items, Technical Machines, and ability-changing items.

Tower Tycoon Palmer

Tower Tycoon Palmer challenges you after achieving certain winning streaks. Palmer uses exceptionally powerful teams that scale in strength based on your progression through the tower.

Streak-Based Progression

Your wins accumulate into a streak. Higher streaks unlock increasingly difficult opponents. At certain milestones (such as 21, 49, and beyond), you will face Tower Tycoon Palmer and his strongest teams. The tower operates on a standard progression system where difficulty increases with each consecutive victory.

Route 225

Route 225 is a mountainous pathway connecting Fight Area to the Survival Area to the north. The path winds up and down among rocky outcroppings. This is a high-level route featuring experienced trainers and rare Pokémon encounters.

Survival Area

Survival Area is a small town in the Battle Zone. It connects to Route 225 to the west and Route 226 to the east.

A man in a house to the South will give you TM42 (Facade).

Route 226

Route 226 is a water route located in the Battle Zone. It connects Survival Area to the west, Route 227 to the North, and Route 228 to the East. The route features a mix of land and water areas with experienced trainers and high-level Pokémon.

Route 227

Route 227 is a rugged and steep mountain path located in the Battle Zone. Vision is limited by steadily falling volcanic ash. The route connects Route 226 to the south and Stark Mountain to the north.

You will find Barry and Wake near a house and tell you that Buck to Stark Mountain. Rest inside the house to heal your Pokémon and continue up the stairs to reach Stark Mountain.
