Goh's Taillow (Japanese: ゴウのスバメ Go's Subame) is the first Pokémon that Goh caught in the Hoenn region, and his fourteenth overall.

History

Taillow and Goh

Taillow debuted in Serving Up the Flute Cup!, where Goh caught while visiting the Hoenn Battle Frontier. Afterwards, Goh got really excited about his new capture, which Houji made fun about calling Tailow a weak and common Pokémon. Later, Goh used Tailow to hunt for Wurmple as he wanted to catch one himself.

In Best Friend... Worst Nightmare!, Taillow noticed Goh's three Wurmple while flying around Cerise Park and started attacking them which made triggered their evolution, while trying to defend themselves.

In A Snow Day for Searching!, Goh used Taillow alongside some of his other Pokémon to find the bone of a wild Cubone, which he later caught.

In Panic in the Park!, during a food shortage, trying to find food with Spearow. When the two find Farfetch'd thinking about eating his leek, Taillow and Spearow are seen drooling over the item Farfetch'd carries. When the commotion led to Goh's Golurk going berserk and flooding the Park, Taillow joined the other small Pokémon and Pinsir to save Goh's three Cascoon.

Personality and characteristics

Taillow with Spearow and Fletchling

Taillow is shown to be more aggressive than Ash's Taillow was, attacking Goh's Wurmple without hesitation, despite the fact that they belong to the same trainer. It is also shown to take care of itself, as seen in A Snow Day for Searching!, where it abandoned following Goh's instruction and hid in a playground to keep itself out of the cold.

Taillow is shown to be considerate of other Pokémon, as seen in Panic in the Park! where it and Spearow eyed some food but rather than fight over it, Taillow broke it in half and shared it with Spearow.

Taillow is often seen in the Cerise Laboratory along with Goh's other bird Pokémon, most notably Spearow.
