Urgent Ask for Rika and Poppy (Japanese: チリとポピーに緊急依頼 Urgent Ask for Chili and Poppy) was a solo event in Pokémon Masters EX. It was focused on the sync pairs Rika & Great Tusk and Poppy & Iron Treads.
The "Double Feature Variety Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Rika & Great Tusk and Poppy & Iron Treads for the duration of the event.
During this event, players could earn event points by completing battles. Players received rewards based on the number of points accumulated, including 5★ Scout Tickets, a Tech Move Candy Coin, a Sprint Move Candy Coin, and a 5★ Power-Up. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Extreme Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day.
The player could battle using Rika & Great Tusk or Poppy & Iron Treads to obtain +0.6× bonus points; Geeta & Glimmora to obtain +0.4× bonus points; and any unlisted sync pairs with the Paldea theme skill to obtain +0.2× bonus points.
Plot
At the request of Geeta, Rika and Poppy catch a wild Great Tusk and Iron Treads that suddenly appeared on Pasio. Geeta congratulates them on a job well done and asks that they form sync pairs with the two Paradox Pokémon. Rika and Poppy are surprised that she's asking them instead of handing them off to researchers. Geeta explains that various Trainers on Pasio have already formed sync pairs with Paradox Pokémon and these pairs have contributed to research about the Pokémon, and she feels comfortable entrusting these Pokémon to Rika and Poppy since they already tamed them. Rika and Poppy happily accept, with Rika taking Great Tusk and Poppy taking Iron Treads, and Geeta impolores them to be a guiding light to their new partners.
