Improvements

So. I think this is nice and compact (a whole lot more than the Region one, though that gets used in, what, eight places?) and good to use in order to allow easy navigation between the various places associated with the legendaries.

Maybe the colors could be a little bit more stand-out-ish, but I dunno. What's everyone think? Is the 7x5 design good? Tom Temprotran 20:13, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Mozborder

Giratina

In Platinum, if you defeat Giratina in Distortion World doesn't it also appear in Sendoff Spring? Should this be added to the template?--Tom 03:58, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Little Asterisk that says "Requires Activation by Nintendo Event".

Should it say exactly what is needed? Like Deoxys (Birth Island) requires Aurora Ticket, etc. I'd do it but it is protected... I also noticed that the Regi's say "Event Regigigas required", so what about the others? --Sivart345 23:27, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Roaming Pokemon Locations

The template includes Lake Verity and Fullmoon Island, the initial locations of Mesprit and Cresselia respectively. These two cannot actually be caught here. Should they really be listed? If so, shouldn't Unova Route 7 also be included for Tornadus and Thundurus? Pokemega32 21:17, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Orre Locations

Shouldn't the Legendary Pokemon locations from the GameCube games be included? The locations that should be included are Mt. Battle (Entei, Ho-Oh), The Under (Suicune), Shadow Pokémon Laboratory (Raikou), Realgam Tower (Entei, Suicune, Raikou), Deep Colosseum (Entei, Suicune, Raikou), and Citadark Isle (Lugia, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres). I don't think so, because they are part of Trainers' parties (except Shadow Lugia, so Citadark Isle could get on the template). --SnorlaxMonster 06:06, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

Shadow Lugia is no less Grandmaster Greevil's Pokemon than the other three birds are. Greevil is behind Lugia during the battle and you are told that you defeated him after catching Lugia. I don't see why their being part of trainer's teams makes them ineligible for the template. These are the locations you can catch these Pokemon and they can be used in any Generation III game after they've been purified. Pokemega32 05:46, 30 April 2012 (UTC)

ORAS Mirage Spots

Could the ORAS mirage spots with legendaries (Pathless Plain, Nameless Cavern, etc.) be added to the list please? Thank you. Miles (talk) 12:54, 10 December 2014 (UTC)

The locations that need to be added are Scorched Slab, Sea Mauville, Trackless Forest, Nameless Cavern, Pathless Plain, Fabled Cave, Gnarled Den, Crescent Isle and Soaring in the sky. Pokemega32 (talk) 09:44, 12 December 2014 (UTC)

It doesn't make sense to include the Battle Tower and Route 16 (lost track, but if Poipole is confirmed to be either Legendary or Mythical, then also Ultra Megalopolis) but not those; either gifts, or they don't. (I slightly prefer no.) Nescientist (talk) 16:52, 5 December 2019 (UTC)

Generation IX

Someone must add locations of Ruination Pokemon and Paradox Pokemon:

• South Province Area One for Wo-Chien
• West Province Area One for Chien-Pao
• Socarrat Trail for Ting-Lu
• North Province Area Two for Chi-Yu

Hyperspace row header linking to wrong page

I noticed that the row header for Hyperspace links to Lumiose City. Should this be linking to the Hyperspace page instead instead?

Deletion

I don't think this template provides any actual navigational value. In reality, it's just Category:Legendary and Mythical Pokémon locations but rendered in the form of a navigation template. Additionally, it's very tall, which makes it obstruct access to other navigation templates in the articles in appears in. SnorlaxMonster 07:51, 20 December 2025 (UTC)

I would argue that it's useful to be able to have all the Legendary/Mythical locations for a particular game grouped together. So if the only issue is the height, perhaps instead of deleting the template completely, we could split it up by game? Storm Aurora (talk) 08:02, 20 December 2025 (UTC)

I think a category serves this template's purpose better. If you want to note the locations in some way, maybe the exising region templates can be updated to annotate whether a legendary/mythical appears in the location?--ForceFire 10:16, 20 December 2025 (UTC)

Yeah, if we want these locations by region, splitting into subcategories is a good way to do it. I think it's important to remember that the purpose of navigation templates is to aid in navigation, not to provide information. If we want to group the locations together, that's the role of a category, not a navigation template. SnorlaxMonster 10:52, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
