Trivia

  • The first few pages of the book claim that the player character was a "young, aspiring Trainer" prior to waking up as a Pokémon. However, this is not definitively stated in the games.
    • Nintendo Power issue 209 from November 2006 further doubles down on this claim, stating that the player character was an apprentice trainer from the world of the previous Pokémon games.
      • This also closely resembles the plot of the manga, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Ginji's Rescue Team which otherwise follows a plot loosely based on the games.

Errors

  • Eevee's page lists its friend area as "Morphing Forest", but in the games it is instead named "Evolution Forest".
  • Torchic's page incorrectly lists its ability as Overgrow, instead of Blaze.
  • The Wonder Mail codes involving Plusle and Minun claim to unlock Plusle in Red Rescue Team and Minun in Blue Rescue Team. However, Plusle is already available in Red and Minun is already available in Blue.
