Trivia

  • At the 2023 Pokémon World Championships, a total of 224 Top Thirty-Two versions, 112 Top Sixteen versions, 56 Quarter Finalist versions, 24 Semi-Finalist versions, 12 Finalist versions, and 12 Champion versions were given out to top ranking players.
  • From the 2013 World Championships to the 2022 World Championships, Champions Festival was the promotional card distributed to players and staff.
    • This card may have been created in response to the frequent use of Champions Festival in Gardevoir ex decks.[1] Those decks commonly employed a combo of Drifloon with Bravery Charm, to which players could attach five Basic Psychic Energy cards with Gardevoir ex's Psychic Embrace Ability. This would put 10 damage counters on Drifloon, making its Balloon Blast attack do 300 damage. After using Champions Festival's effect, players could attach a sixth Energy and have Balloon Blast do 330 damage, enough to Knock Out Stage 2 Pokémon ex in one hit.
