Tururu, Tururu… Tururu, Tururu…
My heart was always looking down My head hung low I may not have been unhappy But I struggled under the weight of living
It's all in the past now It blew away with the wind The machinery of smiles Fills my heart full Overflowing, unable to contain it
Come to the healing island An exciting island Immerse yourself inside this fluffy love Unravel the puzzle that will solve This complicated maze And open the door
With you on this healing island A smooth island A complicated love is fine We don't have to become adults We can stay forever In this bright moratorium of youth
Onomatopoeia Island A sparkling island A fluffy island A woolly island A smooth island A squishy island
The French subtitles and the European Spanish subtitles (only when European Spanish audio is selected) of Where I Belong on Netflix incorrectly include a translation of Tatsuro Yamashita's 1982 song LOVELAND, ISLAND instead of ONOMATOPOEIA ISLAND.
In other languages
The song's title is translated on digital music stores and streaming services into English, in the trailer subtitles on Netflix into multiple languages, and in the corresponding line of the song's lyrics in the subtitles of Where I Belong in all languages. The credits on Netflix, press releases, and video descriptions on YouTube instead use the romanized title "ONOMATOPE ISLAND".
