Effect
When the sync pair successfully uses a move, it has a chance of applying the Damage Guard Next effect to the user. The skill can range from Move: Damage Guard Next 1 to Move: Damage Guard Next 9, with higher numbered skills resulting in a greater chance of activation. Move: Damage Guard Next 9 will always apply the Damage Guard Next effect. Currently, only Move: Damage Guard Next 9 is available on scoutable sync pairs. The skill applies to both the Trainer's and the Pokémon's moves, including buddy moves, but not sync moves or max moves.
