Release information
In Japan, this card was available as a S-P Promotional card and was given to the first three million attendees of Secrets of the Jungle in cinemas.[1] The Japanese movie logo is featured in the bottom right corner of the illustration. Four oversized unnumbered S-P Promotional variants were subsequently produced and given away as prizes to the winners of the Pokémon the Movie: Koko × Pokémon Card Game Illust Contest, which ran between October 15 and November 15, 2020.[2] Entrants were invited to color in a line drawing of the illustration used on the standard print and upload an image of their artwork to Twitter with the hashtag #ポケモン映画カードイラコン, Pokémon Movie Card Illu Con, while following the Pokémon the Movie: Koko official Twitter account. Entries were reviewed by a Pikachu Project judging panel and four overall winners were selected across four categories: the Director's Award, the Creatures Award, the Parent-child Award, and the Twitter Special Award.[2][3] Each winner received one oversized copy of this card featuring their artwork and other Pokémon merchandise. Winners received thier prizes in late March 2021.[4]
Trivia
This card is one of three Pokémon cards that isn't actually a Pokémon, the others being Buried Fossil and M Sachiko-EX.
