Dreams of the Void (Japanese: 心なき世界のために For a Heartless World) was a villain event in Pokémon Masters EX. It tied into the first part of the Sinnoh chapter of the villain arc, featuring battles against Team Galactic. It was one of the Sinnoh villain events, the others being Galactic Nightmare and Galactic Awakening.

During this event, players could earn vouchers from battles against Team Galactic that could be redeemed in the shop for rewards, including Legendary Spirits that could be used to raise Cyrus & Palkia to 6★ EX. Obtaining 2,000 vouchers would reward players with a medal. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Extreme Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day.

This event featured the Battle Challenge, where players were challenged to defeat a team of strong opponents. Players could complete event missions by clearing these areas with teams using various theme skills, earning medals and other rewards.

All sync pairs with the Sinnoh theme skill received a bonus to their Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk and Sp. Def stats when used for this event, with the amount of the bonus varying between areas.

First run

The event first ran from January 13 to February 28, 2022. The "Lucas Poké Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Lucas & Dialga for the duration of the event. In addition, Cyrus & Palkia received their EX style in conjunction with the event.

In this run, players could earn Event Vouchers E from battles. Event missions rewarded players with Gems and Battle Points for completing any of these battles a certain number of times, and the Battle Challenge mission rewards included a Strike and a Tech Move Candy Coin.

Additionally, the music and artwork on the title screen were different than usual. From January 13 to February 10, 2022, the title screen artwork depicted Cyrus and Darkrai alongside Sygna Suit Cynthia (Renegade) & Giratina. From February 10 to 28, 2022, Cyrus was changed to be wearing his sygna suit, and Sygna Suit Dawn & Cresselia and Lucas & Dialga were added to this title screen artwork. For this whole duration, the background music wasBattle! (Cyrus) (Pokémon Masters EX Version).

When the event began, there was a typo in the objective for Mission 12. This mission required players to complete the second-round Battle Challenge with three Dragon-type sync pairs on their team, but the intent was for players to complete the battle with at least two Dragon-type sync pairs on their team. The bug was fixed on January 17, 2022, and all players received 300 Gems as compensation. However, this did not reset the rewards for the mission, so players who had already completed the more difficult version of the mission were not able to earn the reward—a Tech Move Candy Coin—again.

Second run

The event reran from October 10 to 31, 2022. In this run, players could earn Event Vouchers F from battles. The mission rewards were changed to only award Gems and medals, and Mission 12 had the intended objective from the start.

If the player had already raised Cyrus & Palkia to 6★ EX, they could not do anything with his custom Legendary Spirits; so, an exchange was included in the shop to revert the Legendary Spirits back into Event Vouchers F. Performing this exchange counted as obtaining more Event Vouchers F for the purposes of Mission 7.

Third run

The event reran again from May 20 to June 10, 2023. In this run, players could earn Event Vouchers N from battles, and the amount of vouchers received as completion rewards was increased drastically. Everything else was the same as the previous run.

Fourth run

The event ran for a fourth time from January 16 to February 1, 2024. The "Triple Feature Poké Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Sygna Suit Leon & Eternatus, Lucas & Dialga, and Sygna Suit Cynthia & Kommo-o for the duration of the event. In conjunction with this scout, Sygna Suit Leon, Lucas, and Sygna Suit Cynthia's sync grids were expanded with new grid tiles that could be unlocked at move levels 2, 4, and 5.

In this run, players could earn Event Vouchers D from battles, and the vouchers were changed from being Dragon-themed to being Ground-themed. Everything else was the same as the previous run.

Fifth run

The event ran for a fifth time from August 7 to 23, 2024. The "Double Feature Poké Fair Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Lucas & Dialga and Sygna Suit Dawn & Cresselia for the duration of the event. Lucas & Dialga received an unlockable EX role in conjunction with this scout.

In this run, players could earn Event Vouchers R from battles, and the vouchers returned to being Dragon-themed. In addition, the amount of vouchers received as completion rewards was tweaked. Everything else was the same as the previous run.
