Creatures, Inc. (Japanese: 株式会社クリーチャーズ Kabushiki gaisha Creatures) is a affiliate of The Pokémon Company (which itself is a joint venture by Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures). It was founded on November 8, 1995 by Tsunekazu Ishihara with assistance of Satoru Iwata. Creatures is one of the companies responsible for producing and licensing various aspects of the Pokémon franchise, including the Trading Card Game and other merchandise in Japan. Creatures owns one-third of the copyright to the Pokémon franchise (the other two-thirds owned by Game Freak and Nintendo). Its current president is Hirokazu Tanaka, while Ishihara remains as chairman.
The company was founded after Ape Inc. was disbanded, known for creating the EarthBound series of video games. Nintendo does use Ape Inc. when referring to Creatures in financial documents.
As of November 2015, 84 people work at the company.
