One Chance a Day
"A Great Chance a Day!", originally known as One Chance a Day! (Japanese: 1日ワンチャン! One day, one chance!), is a type of special stage in Pokémon Shuffle that can only be played once per 24-hour period. If the stage's Pokémon has already been caught, then these stages guarantee at least one item drop per play. Otherwise, the stages are similar to Great Challenges. The cost per play is Heart ×1.
While most stages have a first-clear reward of Coins ×200, and a reward of
Coins ×20 for subsequent clears, this stage type considers each day as a separate stage. Therefore, the first-clear bonus is available every time that the stage is cleared.
The first few of these stages, those being for Pinsir and Jirachi, originally used the name "One Chance a Day!". Later in 2015, a variant called "One Great Chance a Day!" appeared, where the base catch rate of the Pokémon would increase with every day that passed during the event. This variant was later renamed to "A Great Chance a Day!".
For the game's end-of-service period, most stages began running on a consistent 24-week schedule. In the case of A Great Chance a Day, stages rotate on an 8-week cycle instead, with each lasting one week. Additionally, certain stages run for shorter 3-day periods on specific date ranges yearly.
Compared to the game's live service period, all of the end-of-service stages in this format are titled "A Great Chance a Day!", and no longer increase base catch rate by passing days.
Drops
- Main article: Drop (Shuffle)
If a Pokémon has already been caught, then its stage has a chance to drop items. One Chance a Day stages generally have unique drop rates and item offerings, as opposed to a uniform pattern across the stage format.
Drop rates can be increased if the Drop Rate Increase (DRI) effect is purchased from the Special Shop.

On the initial board for this stage, the player must match 3 Pikachu (Enamored) in one of three available columns. Choosing the correct column will drop Coins into it, and then transition the board into a more-open layout. During the game's live service, the correct column would change each day. However, in the end-of-service version, the center column is always the correct one.

Trivia
- Pikachu (Enamored)'s HP is 3,939. This may be a reference to a Japanese pun on the digits 3 ("san") and 9 ("kyu"), which together phonetically sound like the English phrase "thank you" ("san-kyu").
