Zackie

Zackie (Japanese: ショウ Shō) is a little boy from Violet City and the character of the day in A Bout With Sprout. He attends Earl Dervish's Pokémon academy.
Zackie saw Ash's Pikachu and immediately fought with another student over him, yanking on Pikachu under the mistaken thought he was wild. He accused Ash of being a loser for not winning first place in the Indigo League and tried to convince Pikachu to leave Ash for him, then stole him when Pikachu refused. He stole a Poké Ball from Ash to try to capture Pikachu but caught a wild Bellsprout instead. Zackie attempted to trade Pikachu for Bellsprout, but Ash refused of course and Bellsprout later grew on Zackie. When Team Rocket attacked the Sprout Tower, his Bellsprout saved the day.

| Zackie's Bellsprout was accidentally caught when Zackie thought he had captured Pikachu. It first appeared when Ash and Zackie fell down a hole Team Rocket had set. Zackie sent out Pikachu but out of the Poké Ball appeared a Bellsprout, but it just stood there doing nothing. When walking to the Sprout Tower, Zackie attempted to trade Bellsprout for Pikachu, but Ash declined, making Zackie cry. Suddenly Bellsprout started to do weird maneuvers, cheering Zackie up. Team Rocket were trying another scheme at the Sprout Tower and Pikachu was captured. Zackie then ordered Bellsprout to use Razor Leaf. It flicked the controls out of TRMeowth ([[{{{2}}} (move)|{{{2}}}]])'s paws, and with the help of Ash's Bulbasaur they were able to send Team Rocket blasting off.
At the end of the episode, Zackie said he and Ash would battle when Bellsprout would become a Victreebel. Bellsprout's only known move is Razor Leaf. | ||

Zackie thought Pikachu was a wild Pokémon and wanted to capture him, but also another child wanted him too and fought over him. Ash got Pikachu back, however. Zackie later tried to convince Pikachu to ditch Ash and become his Pokémon, but Pikachu declined. Zackie tried to pounce on him and steal him from Ash but Ash came to see what the trouble was and upon realizing that Zackie stole one of his Poké Balls and was attempting to capture Pikachu, Ash ran after Zackie. They entered a forest and Zackie spotted him and thought he successfully captured Pikachu in the Poké Ball, but he actually captured a Bellsprout. In the end, Zackie loved his newly captured Bellsprout and had no need to capture Pikachu anymore. | ||
