- This is the first XY series episode to have its English dub title revealed before its initial airing in Japan, the title leaking out four days before this episode's initial airdate.
- This is the first time when the title of the episode is shown without a title card, and is shown on top of the background instead. This likely done as a reference to classic horror films.
- Clemont narrates the preview and reads the title card alone, while Ash is saying the "Everyone, get Pokémon!" phrase for the next episode only.
