Spotlight on: Apricorns

  • Apricorns (Japanese: ぼんぐりのみ Bonguri Fruit) are a special fruit originating from the Johto region.
  • It was introduced in Pokémon Gold and Silver and can be found growing throughout the region. Apricorns can be converted into special Poké Balls by Kurt in Azalea Town.
  • There are currently seven different Apricorns. Each one makes a different Poké Ball.
  • Apricorns reappear in Heartgold and Soulsilver. Apricorns can be blended into special drinks using an Apriblender. These drinks raise Pokéathlon preformance.
  • It is said that before Poké Balls were invented, people used hollowed out Apricorns to capture Pokémon.

All synopses featured on Bulbapedia are to be original pieces written by our users. Any synopses found to be copied from another website will be removed immediately. Copying information from another source is called plagiarism and is a very serious offense. This includes relying on fansubs. They are fine as a general helping tool, but do not go off what they say word-for-word. All synopses should be written in a third person, nutural point of view. Additionally, remember to use proper links templates. To quickly link to Ash Ketchum use the {{Ash}} template, for Ash's Pikachu and any of Ash's Pokémon, use the {{AP|}} template, and for the Team Rocket trio use {{TRT}} For Meowth (Team Rocket) use the {{MTR}} template. Many characters have anime only pages like Iris (anime). To link to these pages use the {{an|}} template. Use these for major anime characters/traveling companions like Misty, Brock, Cilan, Iris, Bianca, and Professor Oak. Characters and Pokémon only get linked the first time they are mentioned in the article, all following mentions should be left unlinked.
