Garbodor first appeared in Young Kiawe Had a Farm! after Tupp Salandit had shot down the Ride Pelipper that Ash was riding when its trainer was seeking revenge on their previous defeat but was defeated when Pikachu used Gigavolt Havoc.
In Alolan Open House!, Garbodor attacked the Pokémon School and briefly battled Ash's Litten under the command of Delia before being defeated by Pikachu with Gigavolt Havoc.
In A Team-on-Team Tussle!, Garbodor attempted to get a Darkinium Z only for Team Rocket to get it first.
