At the opening of this round, the scene cuts to the Galactic building. [[Cyrus]] comes to see Galactic's bomb. His servant explains the situation and he decides to start his plan the next week. Then, {{adv|Platinum}} is seen sitting in front of the [[Canalave Gym]]. She is still shocked and cannot continue to stay with {{adv|Diamond}} and {{adv|Pearl}}. However, her father is still in the cage, so she can't yet leave the Gym.

That night, Platinum is still thinking, and she is so tired that she falls asleep. Then, the cloaked Galactic grunt appears and explains the plan to Platinum and tells her that he had come to release her father. Platinum has a nightmare from that interaction. When she wakes up in the morning, she starts writing something. The scene then cuts to Diamond and Pearl as they prepare to leave followed by their having a conversation with [[Byron]]. Before they can leave, their [[Pokédex]] makes a sound and Platinum approaches. She starts to read what she had written. It seem she had recovered from the shock and had forgiven Diamond, Pearl, and also herself. She decides that she wants them to stay with her. At the end of episode, she decides to travel to stop Galactic's plan.

Startling Staraptor (Japanese: VS ムクホーク VS Staraptor), titled VS Staraptor in the Chuang Yi translation, is the 376th chapter of the Pokémon Adventures manga, and the 39th chapter of the Diamond & Pearl arc. It is subtitled Resolution and Confession (Japanese: 決意と告白 Determination and Confession) in the VIZ Media translation and Resolve and Confession in the Chuang Yi translation.

At the Team Galactic HQ, Cyrus comes to see the Galactic Bomb. The Advanced level Grunt explains the situation and Cyrus decides to start his plan next week.

Meanwhile inside the Gym, Diamond wants to try to talk to her, but Pearl tells that it won't work since Byron is trying that. Back outside the Gym, Platinum knows that with her father still trapped in the cage, she cannot leave the Gym yet.
