Mummy (Japanese: ミイラ Mummy) is an Ability introduced in Generation V. It is the signature ability of Yamask and Cofagrigus.
Effect
In battle
When the user is attacked by a contact move, the opposing Pokémon's Ability is turned into Mummy as well, overwriting the Pokémon's previous Ability. The affected Pokémon's Ability returns to normal when they are returned to their Poké Ball.
Multitype, Wonder Guard and Mummy itself are the only Abilities not affected by Mummy.
Outside of battle
Mummy has no effect outside of battle.
