Two teams of villains emerge from their hideouts to clash over the fate of the world in Pokémon TCG: Double Crisis! Team Aqua brings sheer brawn and willpower while Team Magma leverages logic, and both are willing to move land and sea to accomplish their goals. Magma Gang VS Aqua Gang:
Double Crisis logo

Double Crisis is a special expansion of the XY Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. In Japan, it was released as Magma Gang VS Aqua Gang: Double Crisis, the first subset in the Pokémon Card Game XY Era.

Double Crisis featured the two villainous organizations of the Hoenn region, Team Aqua and Team Magma.

The card design was visually enhanced. Pokémon displayed their respective Team's logo on the attack box and a headshot of a Grunt on the right of the Pokédex entry. Trainer cards also sported their respective Team's logo in the description box.

Unlike regular expansions, Double Crisis booster packs could not be purchased individually from booster boxes. Instead, they were only made available in the Double Crisis Blisters released on March 25, 2015. Each booster pack contained seven cards.

The Japanese subset was released on January 30, 2015.
