(Japanese: デント Dent) is one of the three Gym Leaders of Sanyou City's Gym, known officially as the Sanyou Gym. He specializes in Template:Type2 Pokémon and will battle the player if they chose Oshawott as their starter Pokémon. He gives the Trio Badge to Trainers who defeat him.

In the games

Dent appears in Pokémon Black and White as the Gym Leader of Sanyou City's gym, alongside Pod and Corn. This gym is the first to be challenged by the player. Dent battles the player if Oshawott is the chosen starter Pokémon. Trainers who defeat Dent will receive the Trio Badge, along with TM83 (Cheer Up).

In the Pocket Monsters BW manga

In the Pocket Monsters BW manga, Dent appears along with his brothers Pod and Corn. They are seen in PMBW03, where Isamu Akai and his Pokémon visit a restaurant owned by the three brothers. Clefairy tries to instigate a fight between the brothers, but fails on many occasions.

  • His Japanese Leader title, shared with Pod and Corn, is トライアル トライアングル.
  • Dent is the first male Grass-type Gym Leader.
  • Dent has no sclera in his eyes, while his brothers do.
  • Dent's hair resembles growing grass, or small plants, much like how Corn and Pod have hairstyles based on the type they specialize in.
