Route 227 is a route in Sinnoh that connects Stark Mountain and Route 226. Along this route, there is a house where players can visit to heal their Pokémon. It is located in the southern end of the route, just before ascending the first mountainous area. As the player navigates the route, ash falls from the mountains.

There is a house here where the player can rest their Pokémon before moving on to Stark Mountain. The first time the player comes here, he or she will run into Crasher Wake and his/her rival having a discussion.

Route description

Trainers must travel north-east up the side of the route to get around rocky ledges, then turn west to bike over small rocks that block the way. After clearing the rocks the trainer must move southward once more down a rocky ledge onto a small ledge. From there the path moves westward along the rocky edge toward a small grass patch that turns north where the trainer comes to a house. East of the house is a staircase up the mountain side. A bike must be used to cross planks that go across the small valley. Trainers may travel into the valley using Rock Climb were they can come across two small ponds of water and some tall grass.

At the other side of the valley trainers must traverse north through a large patch of tall grass to weave around the rocky ledges. From there trainers must drop down a few ledges then make a u-turn heading back north-ward through some more tall grass to reach a staircase that leads to the summit of Stark Mountain.
