Trivia
- This card's effect is identical to Lysandre. As such, it was ruled that Lysandre and Boss's Orders could not be included in the same deck.
- Similarly to Professor's Research, Boss's Orders was named specifically to prevent the need for future rulings such as this for subsequent prints featuring different villainous team leaders. The character's names are printed in the upper right corner.
Origin
The Rebel Clash prints features Giovanni, formerly the head of Team Rocket and Gym Leader of Viridian City; the Shining Fates and VMAX Climax prints features Lysandre, the boss of Team Flare; and the Brilliant Stars print features Cyrus, the boss of Team Galactic. A group of Team Rocket Grunts, a Trainer class, is also featured in the Giovanni Regular print's illustration.
