Trivia
File:Title Card XY Ash.png
The title card segment focuses on Ash for this episode
- Professor Oak's Pokémon Holo Caster: Aurorus
- Bonnie, Clemont's Dedenne and Meowth narrate the preview for the next episode.
- Just like in Kindergarten Chaos!, at the end of the preview, Bonnie says "Everyone, keep Pokémon!" instead of Ash saying his "Everyone, get Pokémon!" phrase.
- Mega V is replaced by Mad-Paced Getter as the Japanese opening.
- This episode marks the first appearance of a Yanmega in the main series anime other than the one that belongs to Jessie.
- Music from Meloetta's Moonlight Serenade is used in this episode.
Errors
- In one scene, the colors of Pinsir's mouth are inverted (ie. white innards with black teeth).
- When Pikachu tried breaking out of the cage he and Goomy were in, he got covered in bruises. When Goomy made him all slippery so he could squeeze out of the opening he made, the bruises disappeared.
- When Ash protected Pikachu and Goomy from Pumpkaboo's Shadow Ball, James's Inkay was there even though he didn't sent it out.
- Goomy's Bide damaged Jessie's Pumpkaboo despite Ghost-type Pokémon being immune to Normal-type moves.
