Release information
This card was first printed in the Japanese-exclusive Intro Pack with artwork by Keiji Kinebuchi. The card became available in English in the Neo Genesis expansion, first released in the Gold, Silver, to a New World... expansion in Japan. It was subsequently reprinted in the Pokémon VS expansion, with an English version being included in the Tyranitar Half Deck. The beginning of the e-Card Series saw this card reprinted in the Expedition Base Set, having been previously released in the Japanese Base Expansion Pack. It was reprinted twice during the EX Series: in the EX FireRed & LeafGreen expansion, originating from the Japanese Venusaur/Charizard/Blastoise Random Constructed Starter Decks; and in EX Delta Species expansion, having been previously released in the Holon Research Tower Lightning Quarter Deck in Japan. It received new artwork done by Shizurow in the Diamond & Pearl expansion, first released in the Empoleon Half Deck of the Entry Pack. This version saw two reprints in Japan, in the Torterra Half Deck of the Entry Pack '08 and the Dialga Half Deck of the Giratina vs Dialga Deck Kit, the latter of which prompted a reprint in the English Majestic Dawn expansion.
Super Scoop Up was later reclassified in Japan as an Item card during the LEGEND Era, though the English prints did not adopt this naming convention until the release of Black & White. The print included in the Unleashed expansion featured new artwork by Noriko Hotta and originated from the Leafeon Deck of the Japanese Leafeon vs Metagross Expert Deck. This card, now reclassified as an Item card in English, was released again in the Black & White expansion with new artwork by Daisuke Iwamoto, first released in the Beginning Set in Japan. It was later reprinted in Beginning Set + and Beginning Set Pikachu Version rereleases of the original Black & White Beginning Set.
XY Series
Super Scoop Up was again reprinted in the Furious Fists expansion with new artwork by 5ban Graphics, previously released as one of several Japanese XY-P Promotional cards that became available in a number of different card boxes. These included: the Xerneas & Yveltal Card Box, released on December 13, 2013; the Primal Groudon & Primal Kyogre Card Box, released on December 13, 2014; and the Mega Mewtwo X & Mega Mewtwo Y Card Box, released on September 26, 2015.
Sun & Moon Series
Super Scoop Up was reprinted as both a Regular card and a Full Art Secret card in the Burning Shadows expansion, first released in the Japanese Darkness that Consumes Light expansion. Both prints feature artwork by Toyste Beach. The Regular print was later included in the English Shining Legends expansion and the Japanese Shining Legends subset. This print was then reprinted as a Mirror Holofoil in the Japanese Ultra Force subset. The reprint included in the Celestial Storm expansion, its inclusion derived from the Japanese Champion Road subset, featured the original artwork by Keiji Kinebuchi. The Burning Shadows Regular print was reprinted again in the Japanese Thunderclap Spark subset.
Scarlet & Violet Series
This card was reprinted in Holofoil with its Burning Shadows regular artwork in the Charizard & Ho-Oh ex deck of the Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic. This print lacks a regulation mark and is thus not legal for tournament play.
