Shadow Force (Japanese: シャドーダイブ) is a very highly-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation IV. It is also Giratina's signature move.
Effect
Shadow Force causes the user to "vanish instantly" for one turn, rendering it invulnerable, then reappear the next to cause damage. The only circumstances in which it will not hit the foe are if the foe has used a move such as Dive or Fly, or if the foe is a Template:Type2. It will hit even if the foe has used Protect or Detect. Note that if Yawn is used the turn before Shadow Force is used, it will be aborted before it hits, as the user will fall asleep (this will not work if the user's ability is Insomnia (possible if Worry Seed has been used) or if an Uproar is in affect.
