Release information
This card was included in the Plasma Storm expansion, first released in the Japanese Freeze Bolt expansion. In Japan, this card was reprinted as one of the BW-P Promotional cards, available as part of a ten card random pack released during the September 2012 Gym Challenge.
During the XY Series, Escape Rope was reprinted with new artwork by Toyste Beach in the English Primal Clash expansion, originating from the Japanese Tidal Storm expansion. In Japan, it was reprinted in the Premium Champion Pack as a Mirror Reverse Holofoil.
A print with new artwork by Toyste Beach was released in the Japanese Facing a New Trial subset as a Mirror Holofoil. A Full Art Secret print, also by Toyste Beach, was included in the Japanese To Have Seen the Battle Rainbow expansion. Both of these prints were included in the Burning Shadows expansion. In Japan, the Regular print was later reprinted as a Mirror Holofoil in the GX Battle Boost subset and as a Non Holofoil in the Tag Bolt and Double Blaze expansions. It was reprinted with different artwork by Toyste Beach in the Japanese GG End subset.
Escape Rope was reprinted again during the Sword & Shield Series with artwork by sadaji and was included in the Battle Styles expansion, first released in the Japanese Single Strike Master expansion. In Japan, this print was reprinted in the Skyscraping Perfection expansion, as a S-P Promotional card, in the VMAX Climax subset, in the Start Deck 100 (available in both Non Holofoil and Mirror Holofoil versions), and in the Ruler of the Black Flame Deck Build Box. The promotional print was available as a winner's prize at regional Champion's League events held during the 2021-2022 season. These included the 2022 Kyoto Champion's League, held at the Kyoto Pulse Plaza on October 3, 2021;[1] the 2022 Fukuoka Champion's League, held at Marine Messe Fukuoka, Fukuoka on November 3, 2021;[2] the 2022 Aichi Champion's League, held at the Aichi International Exhibition Center, Tokoname on March 27, 2022;[3] and the 2022 Yokohama Champion's League, held at the Pacifico Yokohama on May 8, 2022.[4] At each of these events, the top 64 competitors from each League at the conclusion of the qualifying round received a copy of this print,[5] which is Mirror Holofoil and features the Championship Series 2022 logo in the bottom right corner of the illustration.
