Jīkyō is the announcer for the Manalo Conference. During the Battle Royal preliminary round, he explained the rules of the Alola League to the audience and commented on what was happening on the battlefield. He continued to do so from SM130 to SM139, commenting on the battles and giving the audience information about the competitors and their Pokémon.

He reappeared in SM141 and will reappear in SM142.
