Promotional Tretta are special Tretta that can not be obtained by playing the game. There are three main types of promotional Tretta, which come in two different colors. Rookie Tretta (ルーキートレッタ) are orange and are usually included in retail items such as boxed sets or targeted publications. Special Tretta (スペシャルトレッタ) are also orange and are distributed in conjunction with the theatrical release of Pokémon movies. Trophy Tretta (トロフィートレッタ) are purple and are usually awarded as participation prizes in Pokémon Tretta tournaments or events. Over Pokémon Tretta's release history, several other types of promotional Tretta with different colors have been made available, usually as part of self-contained sets, or tie-ins with certain events. All promotional Tretta have the collection number "P".
