From Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia.
YTV is a TV channel owned by Corus Entertainment available nationally in Canada which launched September 1st, 1988. Its headquarters are in Toronto, Ontario. YTV is thought by many to stand for "Youth Television", due to the fact that it's original slogan was "The Youth Channel". When asked about this, the channel states "Actually, it's just three letters! Really! Some folks think it means Youth Television, but that's just a coincidence; we just thought the letters looked good together!"
It is the Canadian broadcaster of the Pokémon anime. The channel has aired the anime from the first episode. New Pokémon: Diamond & Pearl are aired every Saturday at noon in the CRUNCH programming block.
