Poli

Isn't Poli's probation over? He's still listed as such. --ZestyCactus 00:49, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

Is this list current?

Just curious as to how current this list is, or when the last time it was updated was, or if it even needs to be updated. Not that I am staff or anything, just curious as to who our current staff are. --JediKnightDTV 01:10, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

It's up-to-date for permanent staff. It doesn't include anyone who was temporarily promoted to Junior Admin for the Black and White release, who I'm told will have those powers until things finish settling down again. Werdnae (talk) 01:19, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

Why isn't there Japanese staff? Is the Japanese discriminated with bulbapedia?

In the Pokemon, the culture of Japan is often an base. I think that it is appropriate that the staff has the Japanese. Sawamular101 11:17, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

The way we pick are staff has nothing to do with what race they are. We do not discriminate here. It's about how much work they put in to their contributions here. If a users shows the dedication and the effort, then we promote them. We can't just promote someone just because the are Japanese. They have to put in the work like everyone else does.
Bulbapedia published the article that held the Japanese in derision on April 1. Bulbapedia laughed at the Japanese when the Japanese was crying. It was likely to have stopped it if there was a Japanese staff. There is no consideration to the Japanese. Sawamular101 11:35, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
I'm sure it was more like a tribute for the original Japanese version. Were the Japanese fans really offended?--Den Zen 11:39, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
I looked like the article that held the Japanese in derision. Because the staff of Bulbapedia is noble, I might be wrong. Sawamular101 12:00, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
It is to say that the Japanese staff members run the Japanese wiki. But what I'm mostly confused about is....what April 1 article are you referring to? April 1, 2011 contained 2 articles, Pokemon Typing DS and new TCG deck boxes. And I don't see any discrimination there. -- MAGNEDETH 17:39, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
He's meaning that Fushigipedia stuff.--Den Zen 18:06, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
18:14, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
18:31, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
Sawamular101 02:08, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
02:15, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Sawamular101 02:20, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
よく意味わからないけど・・・もしかしてここの"for reasons you may have read about in the news"の部分ですか?
Sawamular101 03:06, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Sawamular101 03:15, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
15:57, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Sawamular101 02:05, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

What does it mean?

What do the big red X marks mean that cover the Status column in the Executive Policymakers section? Also, what does "Haitus" mean in the same column? Im really curious because I seen that term serveral times on Bulbapedia(and, though Im not sure, also on Wikipedia or other websites) and I never knew what it meant. - unsigned comment from Latias1290 (talkcontribs)

I believe the red X signifies a continuous presence on the Bulbapedia Staff, so their "activity level" isn't displayed like the rest of the staff. Hiatus means a period of time where a Staff member who is usually active, stops editing. It's kind of like a leave of absence. --Pokemaster97 20:13, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Mistake?

Why is the flag next to Zhen Lin that of the UK in general, when the one next to Nuva-kal and Fabu-vinny is the normal English one?

Is this some running joke?

So, I've noticed, for some older staff members, after being removed from staff, they are blocked with some very odd reason, like being a vandal, spamming, abusive behavior, etc. (when usually they just left of their own volition). Is this just some running joke among Bulba staff, or is it some sort of preventative measure of some kind? Schiffy (Speak to me|What I've done) 20:06, 21 September 2013 (UTC)

Anyone who was banned was banned for legitimate reasons such as the ones you listed. We would have no reason to ban retired staff members if they didn't do anything wrong. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 21:03, 21 September 2013 (UTC)
Well, I had guessed some sort of preventative measure to avoid someone hacking the account of a former staff. But, well, seeing this confused me, hence my question. Schiffy (Speak to me|What I've done) 23:32, 21 September 2013 (UTC)
TTEchidna did a few things they shouldn't have done, hence the ban. Anyone on this list is former staff members who can come back at any time if they so choose to do so. Technically, none of them have been or currently are blocked. Though, they have been removed as staff members in case their accounts are broken into. --Super goku (talk) 01:21, 22 September 2013 (UTC)
Ah, well, thanks for clearing that up for me. Schiffy (Speak to me|What I've done) 05:14, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

Nyoo

Nyoo isn't PokéWiki Staff anymore, he was demoted long ago due to this inactivity. --Chandelure2509 (talk) 12:55, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

How to become a staff?

I just want to add images--Michail2003 (talk) 20:15, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

The answer to your question is on the staff page itself, so please go back there. As for how to add images, this is done through the Archives side, not on Bulbapedia itself. To upload images yourself, you must meet the requirements at Archives to be able to do so; actions at Bulbapedia do not contribute to that. CycloneGU (talk) 20:17, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
Which requirments is it?--Michail2003 (talk) 07:35, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
There is no specific requirement out of being selected by the Editorial Board or by the Editor in Chief in some fashion, and they look for people who can assist on a long-term basis with keeping things up to date, or helping answer requests by other users...and probably a lot of other things I can't specifically go into detail on.
As you have not been selected, you can assume that you do not qualify at this time. The newness of your account is most likely a major contributing factor to this. Just know that if you were to be considered for staff, you will be contacted. Asking for it out of the blue is a good way to not get selected and is more likely to get you blocked than promoted. That's pretty much all there is to it. CycloneGU (talk) 16:34, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
As an additional helping point, here is the FAQ on Archives, linking specifically to the portion on how to be able to upload images. Note that the edits required must be done on the Archives side of the site; in other words, you need to be able to assist with tagging images that are missing tagging, or that are not numbered correctly, or by assisting with one of the many projects over there. Proposal to add interwiki to WikiDex's Administrators page

The Spanish-language WikiDex has its own Administrators and Bureaucrats page:

I, thus, propose to add an interwiki here to that page like this (just like there is an interwiki to the German PokéWiki’s admins page:

[[es:WikiDex:Administradores]]

That is all and THANKEE! ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM💬 04:47, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
