Vaniville Town (Japanese: アサメタウン Asame Town) is a small town located in the southeastern portion of the Kalos region. Like Pallet Town, New Bark Town, Littleroot Town, Twinleaf Town, Nuvema Town, and Aspertia City, Vaniville Town is the starting location for the player. It is the hometown of Calem, Serena, and Shauna. To the north is Route 1.

Player's house

The player's house is in the center house in a townhouse type dwelling in Vaniville Town. The player has just moved here from a region far away. The player's mother lives here, and is usually cooking something in the kitchen. This is where the player receives a Town Map, and the first change of clothes. The town first appeared briefly in Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin! at Serena's home, where Serena is woken up by Fletchling in her bedroom.
