About me
I'm just a lurker here. I'll mostly just fix a typo, or add something to a page. I'm kind of new to Bulbapedia and I'm not 100% familiar with the coding and how things are laid out, so forgive me if I make a coding mistake.
Personal
The name is Jo and I am currently 17 years old. I've loved Pokémon for 11 years and my obsession is still strong. I'm the kind of person who can't say no, and I try to get along with others. I think racism is one of the stupidest things ever and wish for a day where it will be gone for good. I look forward to making the world just a little bit better somehow.
Video games
I'm a huge gamer. I've been playing video games since the age of 2 with Super Mario Bros. I'm currently a fan of Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, Phoenix Wright, Classic Sonic The Hedgehog, Katamari series, Fatal Frame, Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, and Infamous. If anyone reading this has a Steam account, my account is posted at the bottom of this page, so feel free to add me and maybe we can play together sometime.
Pokémon
Here's just some details on my obsession with Pokémon.
Favorite Pokémon
I love every Pokémon. There's not a single one I dislike, even a little. There are two in particular, however, I like more than all others.
Typhlosion
Typhlosion has been my favorite since I got Silver version. However it wasn't always my favorite. At first I wanted a Chikorita, but I decided to play a game by randomly picking a PokéBall from Elm, rather than just picking Chikorita, and keeping whatever was inside. As fate had it, a Cyndaquil was inside the ball I chose, and I ended up falling in love with the little guy and was glad I didn't end up with Chikorita. To this day I've loved the Cyndaquil line more than any other Pokémon. That is, until the next Pokémon came along...
Flygon
Flygon is the only Pokémon in the same league as Typhlosion, I can't choose one over the other. It was love at first sight when I saw a picture of Flygon in my Ruby/Sapphire Pokédex book. After seeing it, I just HAD to have one for myself. Since then, I have always captured a Flygon in my games, and as a tribute to my first Flygon, every Flygon I catch must be a girl.
Shippings
I'm not a huge shipper because I'm not entirely into it, and I don't want to be in the middle of stupid wars. However there are still pairings I support if not otherwise neutral.
Ash/Misty I've liked this pairing for the longest. I became a true supporter when my sister got me the 2.B.A Master CD and I heard Misty's Song. I still support it because even though Ash has befriended May and Dawn since Misty's leaving, he always seemed much nicer towards Misty than he does towards May and Dawn. Though most of all, I support Misty and Ash as best friends for life, and I don't think anyone can deny that.
Drew/May I like how Drew always seemed to secretly watch over May and quietly cheer her on later on in the series. Like Ash and Misty, if not a couple, I am a strong supporter of these two being best friends.
Brock/Melanie Melanie is the one girl in the entire series Brock has had a crush on where he didn't go insane. It was honest admiration that left him speechless. (Either that or the writers were just now trying out Brock's obsession with the female sex) She's also one of the only girls Misty supported him with. I'd like to see what would happen if he were to go back and at least visit her.
Kenny/Dawn This one is the most minor and undeveloped support. I just wouldn't be surprised if near the end of the series, the two of them really do start getting closer.
James/Jessie I find this pairing very amusing. It's the only shipping that is actually differently supported between the anime and manga (considering they get married in the manga anyway.) In the anime I wouldn't care if anything between them happened, I just find it funny, and a little cute, when they hug and admit that they really do appreciate each other. I think it's nice how Jessie has been by James' side for so long.
Then there's support of the married couples such as Norman and Caroline, etc.
