Swift Swim (Japanese: すいすい Smooth Swim) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Thirty-nine Pokémon can have this Ability, making it the most prevalent Ability in the games.
Effect
In battle
During rain, the Speed stat of Pokémon with this Ability is doubled.
Outside of battle
Swift Swim has no effect outside of battle.

Whenever the Pokémon uses a special move while it is raining, the move is used twice. No additional PP is used during the second usage. If the Pokémon has a speed bonus, only the first move will gain the benefit of Swift Swim.
